[Machinery Log // Dev Protocol 1-Week]

Initial prototype constructed under limited time constraints (1 cycle). Mission framework expanded across three update loops [Sep 18 - Jan 19].

Balancing player discovery with tension and narrative. Architectural references pulled from early spacefaring media archives (see: Alien, 1979).

Goal: simulate isolation under threat with minimal hand-holding.
Status: IN REVIEW

[Design Log // Level Protocol 4-B]

Spatial Layout:
• Claustrophobic-to-open pacing.
• Core locomotion loop: shoot / jump / crouch / sprint.

Communication System:
• Blueprint-only communication (no Level BP).

[Design Log // Assembly Protocol 9-D]

Navigation / Gating:
• Hammer/Vent mechanic enables spatial route variation.
• Puzzle locks: color coded door-key (key cards).
• Key-door structure reinforces regional containment.
• Objective control via UI prompts.

Narrative Layer:
• NPCs deliver situational context + narrative hints.
• Objective updates triggered by player input.
• No overt guidance: tension from uncertainty.

Worldbuilding Hooks:
• Sound cues reinforce psychological atmosphere.
• SkyBox reinforces spatial dislocation.

Software Used:
• Unreal Engine 4 / Photoshop / Audition / Spacescape

>> INCOMING TRANSMISSION // VISUAL RECORDS ATTACHED

[Design Log // Visual Protocol 7-C]
Objective Reference: Integrate visual homage to Alien (1979) franchise. Reconstruct altered space based on USM Auriga (Alien: Resurrection).
Design Note: After watching the films, I selected a specific corridor and recreated it with altered proportions. Its inclusion in the level imparts a sense of grandeur to the spaceship mission and reinforces the tone of disrepair and industrial scale.
Reference Fidelity: Core structure preserved; surface detail abstracted for prototype phase. Focus remained scale and silhouette fidelity.
